Ingredients:

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta water before draining.

  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.

  3. Lower the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Let it simmer gently for 2 minutes.

  4. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and slightly thickened. Season with salt and black pepper.

  5. Toss the drained pasta into the creamy sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water.

  6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
